Although the steam Fair is held over 5 days on a 600 acre site near Tarrant Hinton our involvement starts with dropping off a few loos for the set up in early August and collecting the last few loos in early September.
From the Saturday before the steam fair starts we have 150 loos along with our 6 bay shower and 4 storage containers on site we commence servicing with one tanker and two staff then during the show we use two tankers with 4 staff.
Due to the weather this year we had to use our tractor and slurry tanker throughout the whole show as the conditions were too wet for lorries in almost 20 years of involvement with the GDSF this was the worst I have known in some cases we had to scrape the toilet floors clean of mud with a shovel before we could start service.
